Gracie LaScola

Gracie LaScola has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for September at East Liverpool High School. Gracie is the daughter of Amanda Geisse and Dante LaScola. She is a member of Student Council, Thespians, Booster Club, and National Honor Society.  In addition, Gracie is President of the Renaissance Choir, served as a delegate to Buckeye Girls’ State, and received the Rotary Youth Leadership Award. Gracie served as a counselor at Camp Fitch, and as a member of the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir. Gracie plans to major in Theater. She has not decided on a university at this time.

Billy Todd

Billy Todd has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for October at East Liverpool High School. Billy is the son of Jeff and Teresa Todd. He is a member of National Honor Society, 2018 Prom Committee, Gaming Club, Marching Band, Lab Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band and the Varsity Bowling Team, receiving the Jack Rudibaugh Memorial Bowling Award.  Billy also participated with the Stambaugh Youth Concert Band, and he received a rating of Superior for three years at Solo and Ensemble. Billy serves as Percussion Captain and as a Camp Fitch Counselor at ELHS, and as Alter Server at Holy Trinity Parish. Billy takes Advanced Placement courses at ELHS and CCP coursework through Kent State University. Billy plans to major in Engineering at Ohio Northern University, where he has received the Trustees Scholarship of $68,000. over four years.

Kenzie Davis

Kenzie Davis has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for November at East Liverpool High School. Kenzie is the daughter of Ricky and Stacey Davis. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has a 4.0 grade point average. In addition, she donates her time as a tutor at the Community Resource Center. Kenzie served as a delegate to Buckeye Girls’ State and a counselor at Camp Fitch. She was a former 2-year member of Marching Band, and she was a member of the Fall Homecoming Court. Kenzie is a student in the Criminal Justice program, and she plans to attend the University of Akron to major in Political Science before attending law school.

Kamren Klakos has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for December at East Liverpool High School. Kamren is the son of Lori and Edward Klakos. Kamren is a 4.0 student and ranks #1 in his class. He is a CCP student, a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars through Kent State University, and the National Society of High School Scholars. Kamren was chosen as the male candidate to attend the 2018 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Conference. He is a four-year letterman in soccer, and a member of the 2015 Buckeye 8 Championship team and the 2018 OVAC Championship team. Kamren was chosen as team captain his junior and senior years. He played in the Eastern District Senior All-Star Showcase and the OVAC Senior All-Star Classic. Kamren is also a three-year letterman in baseball, serving as team captain his junior year. He was awarded the Mr. Hustle Award his freshman year, the Coach’s Award his sophomore year, and Offensive Player Award his junior year. Kamren has earned the OVAC All-Academic Award for the past three years. He serves as a peer tutor and graduation Honor Attendant, and was a member of the 2018 Junior Prom Committee. Kamren has been accepted to Kent State University, Main Campus, to pursue a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

Peyton Reed

Peyton Reed has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for January at East Liverpool High School. Peyton is the son of Angel and Heath Reed. He is a 4.0 student, and ranks #1 in his class, taking Advanced Placement coursework. Peyton is a member of the National Honor Society, Booster Club, 2018 Prom Committee, ELHS Thespians Stage Crew, Outdoor Adventure Club, and Yearbook Staff. He is a three-year letterman and senior captain of the football team and two-year letterman and senior captain of the basketball team. Peyton received the ELHS Scholar Athlete Award, OVAC All-Conference Academic Award, and Basketball Mr. Hustle Award. Peyton was also chosen as a 2018 WTOV9/WMC Scholar Athlete of the Week for football, and as a member of the 2018 Buckeye 8 North All-Star First Team for football, the 2018 Eastern District All-Star Division IV Second Team Offense for football, the 2018 Columbiana County High School Football All-Star First Team, and as a 2018 OVAC High School Football Honorable Mention. Peyton plans to major in Chemical Engineering.

Morgan Morris

Morgan Morris has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for February at East Liverpool High School. Morgan is the daughter of Dana and Richard Morris. Morgan is an Advanced Placement 4.0 student and ranks #1 in her class. She has served as Class Secretary for four years, Vice President of the National Honor Society, Booster Club Vice President, and is a member of Student Council. Morgan was also a 2018 delegate to Buckeye Girls’ State and has received the OVAC All-Academic Award. Morgan is a two year member of the Cross Country team, receiving the Rookie of the Year and Ralph Locke awards, and a two year member of the volleyball team. She is a four-year member of the swim team, receiving the Coach’s award and Most Improved Award. Morgan has been a district qualifier for swimming for the past three years. She is also a three year letterman and four year member of the track team, being named OVAC Runner Up. Morgan plans to major in Pre-medicine, concentrating in Pediatrics.

PJ Morris

Denver (PJ) Morris has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for March at East Liverpool High School. PJ is the son of Heather and Brian Morris. PJ is an Advanced Placement student, ranked #2 in his class with a cumulative GPA of 3.955. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Booster Club, Thespians, and is a two-year varsity letterman for the ELHS Varsity Track Team.  In addition, PJ is a four-year letterman on the Varsity Football team, serving as Team Captain his senior year, and named to the Eastern District All-Star Second Team, the Quad County All-Star Second Team, and as a Buckeye 8 All-Star Honorable Mention. PJ received the Ted Maley Off-Season Award in 2017 and the Coach Hutton Lineman of the Year Award in 2018.

PJ plans to attend the University of Mount Union, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and continuing his athletic career with the Mount Union Purple Raider football team.

John Bowen

John Bowen has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for April at East Liverpool High School. John is the son of Elizabeth and Robert Bowen. John is a CCP and Advanced Placement student, ranked #1 in his class with a 4.0 cumulative GPA, and he was named to the Dean’s List at Kent State University for Fall 2018. John is a member of the National Honor Society and Outdoor Adventure Club, and he is a former member of the ELHS Golf Team. John volunteers his time at Family Literacy Night and as a tutor at ELHS, and he has started his own auto detailing business during high school. John plans to attend Geneva College to major in Mechanical Engineering.

Terran Stacey

Terran Stacey has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for May at East Liverpool High School. Terran is the daughter of Brenda and David Stacey. Terran is a CCP student ranked #11 in her class with a 3.760 cumulative GPA. Terran is a four-year member of Student Council, serving as Treasurer all four years, a four-year member of Booster Club, currently serving as President, a four-year member of Outdoor Adventure Club, and a two-year member of The National Honor Society, currently serving as President. In addition, Terran is a four-year Varsity letterman on the Volleyball and Tennis teams, serving as Volleyball Captain her senior year. Terran was named OVAC All Academic for 2016-2017, Rookie of the Year her freshman year, 2016 and 2017 District 1, Division II Honorable Mention, 2017 and 2018 4A All-Conference, 2018 District 1, Division II Second Team, and 2018 All Buckeye 8 for Volleyball. Terran volunteers her time as a JO Volleyball coach and through the ELCH Auxiliary. She was chosen as a 2018 delegate to Buckeye Girls State and received the DAR Good Citizen Award for 2018-2019. Terran plans to attend Kent State University to major in Accounting.
